Backwashed Zelbrite's performance in capturing fine (small micron)
particles is far superior to Sand Filter. NOTE: Zelbrite captured particles
even below one micron at an efficiency of over 70%
Zelbrite performs more effectively than sand filter at higher
concentrations of particulates (higher filter loadings)
Zelbrite filter backwashes particularly well (effectively) while sand
filter does not recover nearly as well
